Kaila got new Pj's since it's freezing in our house with no heater.....the part is "on order", says the company who put in our AC unit in May. A little late now. Thank goodness for my parents. They let us borrow their plug-in fireplaces. They make it nice and toasty and Kaila can touch them without getting burned. Very cool invention. Kaila was so cute though. She got a big cheesy smile and ran to show Will once her PJ's were on. She loves to show Daddy everything she is proud of. She even said "CHEESE" for the camera and smiled. It's so fun to have this silly little girl! We love every day. Can't wait till she's a big sister!

A Quote We All Need To Hear

A good friend of mine recently said goodbye to her brother who had cancer. Her family has always been so strong and are people I have looked up to since we were little. Our prayers are with them. I thought this would be nice to share with others:

Samuel Smiles wrote: “ ‘Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey towards it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.’ … Hope sweetens the memory of experiences well loved. It tempers our troubles to our growth and our strength. It befriends us in dark hours, excites us in bright ones. It lends promise to the future and purpose to the past. It turns discouragement to determination.” 8

The Savior knows each of us in a personal way. He has assured us of His personal acquaintance, His awareness of our needs, and His presence in our times of need. He counseled, “I say unto you that mine eyes are upon you. I am in your midst and ye cannot see me” (D&C 38:7). Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explained, “The Savior is in our midst, sometimes personally, frequently through his servants, and always by his Spirit” (The Lord’s Way [1991], 14).
